BOUNDARIES

“BOUNDARIES” is a short film about borders; both visible, geographic and mental.
The film decodes the refugee crisis by probing questions of trust and fear that
govern choices made under circumstances, invoking one to seek the culprit in
another, different and unknown. A Bosnian border policeman son’s lost kite is in the
hands of a Kurdish refugee boy, juxtaposed with their parents ensuing search to find
them. After a skirmish the kite breaks and the boys must overcome their differences
to construct a new kite. Meanwhile their parent’s joint search unveils suspicions,
erodes trust, and concludes on an unexpected note.

There is an massive overgeneralisation that most of our current societal problems are because of migrants and refugees.
